INVITATION LETTER

Due to the increasing human population and global consumption, the demand for spatial data is growing day by day for the optimal use of Earth's natural resources and the resolution of related problems. Geospatial Technologies, with the ability to rapidly collect and evaluate data over large areas, acquire substantial data through emerging technologies. Novel scientific methods and applications for analyzing such data support critical decision-making mechanisms and contribute to achieving the UN SDG goals.

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Department of Geomatics Engineering, hosting the symposium, is situated between two significant historical sites-spanning from the northwest to southwest of the Çanakkale Strait. At one end lies the ancient city of Troy, where the Trojan horse played a role in the mythological war and at the other end is the Gallipoli Peninsula, the site of one of the most internationally challenging battles of the First World War.

This symposium offers a crucial opportunity for participants to present and discuss cutting-edge research and enhance networking within ISPRS WG IV/5 - Extended Reality and Visual Analytics. We aim to bring together scientists, scholars, and professionals in this historical venue to explore a broad spectrum of geospatial research and application topics, including virtual/augmented visualizations, digital twins, visual analytics, cultural heritage, and artificial intelligence. We invite researchers and experts in the field of spatial information science to join us at GeoVisions2025 on October 8-10, 2025.
